Pentland: Richard Newcombe promoted to president of Lacoste shoes

Pentland has just promoted Richard Newcombe to president of its brand, Lacoste. Since the announcement of the departure Andy Simister last fall, Newcombe, who prior to the appointment was vice president of global sales, has been managing the helm in the interim alongside CFO Paul Weber.

With 27 years in the footwear industry, Newcombe has held key positions at Pentland, including stints as CEO of Asia and president of Ellesse. He has been in charge of sales at Lacoste for the past two years.
