Lupita Nyong'o and Saoirse Ronan front new Calvin Klein fragrance

Dubbed "Calvin Klein Women," the perfume is the first scent to be launched by the house since Raf Simons was made Chief Creative Officer.
Described by the brand as "a play of contrasts," the fragrance features notes of fresh eucalyptus acorns, orange flower petals and Alaskan cedarwood, for a woody, floral finish. It comes packaged in a traditional, weighted glass bottle with a modern, oversized disc-shaped cap imprinted with a print by the campaign's photographer Anne Collier.
Hollywood stars Nyong'o and Ronan are seen posing alongside images of the women who have inspired them in Collier's print campaign, which "champions iconic women and celebrates heroines of contemporary culture." "12 years A Slave" star Nyong'o appears next to portraits of singer Eartha Kitt and silver screen legend Katharine Hepburn, while "Brooklyn" actress Ronan lines up with actor Sissy Spacek and singer and activist Nina Simone.
"The campaign is an exploration of femininity -- a group of women bonded by a common thread; the desire to have the power to create their own identity, and to support and lead the way for those that come after them," said Simons in a statement. "Calvin Klein Women is inspired by the transmission of strength and inspiration from one woman to the next; by plurality combined with individuality; freedom of expression; and the notion that the collective is as vital as the individual."
Nyong'o and Ronan are the latest big names to sign up to a Calvin Klein campaign following in the footsteps of actor Jake Gyllenhaal, who was unveiled as the face of the house's ‘Eternity Calvin Klein' scent last fall. The brand's fashion division has also been working hard at recruiting celebrities, snapping up actress Millie Bobby Brown, the Kardashian-Jenner sisters, supermodel siblings Kaia and Presley Gerber and singer Solange to feature in its "#MyCalvins" campaign over the past year.
