The company will move into the new business park in a deal with Clowes Developments which has planning permission for the Etiquette Park scheme, made up of two units totalling 50,000 sq ft.

Jayn Sterland, managing director at Weleda UK, said: “We are excited to be expanding our existing operations… which will be tailored to meet our very individual needs.

“As a manufacturer of natural and organic cosmetics and holistic wellbeing products, it is essential that our stock is stored in very specific conditions which meet GMP standards.

“The new-build will allow us to grow our business while remaining in the area where our manufacturing site and Demeter-certified organic medicinal herb gardens are also based.”

Sterland added that the new facility means its Customer Care team can relocate to Etiquette Park, and that will free up space at current HQ Heanor Road “to enable us to expand the rest of our operations as we grow”.

Created in 1921 in Switzerland, Weleda produces both beauty products and naturopathic medicines. It operates in 55 countries across five continents.
