The first of the three new executives, Klemen Drole, has been named head of technology, products and data. He joins the company after a six-year stint at Lazada, Zalando's Asian counterpart, where he notably held the post of CFO. A position he also held at Beat, after previously working for KPMG, Deloitte, ABB and Nevron.

The second appointment is that of Arnaud Collin, Vestiaire Collective’s new commercial and marketing director. A former marketing director at event ticketing marketplace Stubhub, he was head of strategy and loyalty programmes of the Ebay group, and led the marketing and product teams of various start-ups.

The third new name is Bernard Osta, who takes charge of strategy for Vestiaire Collective. A former partner at Lazard and an executive director at Goldman Sachs for 10 years, Osta has joined the French resale site after a 15-year career in the field of mergers and acquisitions. According to Vestiaire Collective, Osta’s know-how should enable him to “shape the site’s strategic finance plan.”

“We are delighted to welcome key people such as Klemen, Arnaud and Bernard, who will tap their experience to grow our organization to the level of our ambitions,” said CEO Maximilian Bittner, who has been at the helm of Vestiaire Colllective since the end of 2018. Vestiaire Collective said it is keen to capitalize on its “leadership position” in order to improve its users’ experience, increase its penetration in strategic sectors, and expand its global reach by entering “attractive new markets.”

In September, Vestiaire Collective raised €178 million in fresh finance, growing its valuation to $1.7 billion (€1.45 billion). Clara Chappaz, the company's chief business officer and spokesperson, was recently appointed head of French Tech, an independent public body in charge of supporting the development of new technologies in France.
