Vespa Footwear arrives in Spain in partnership with retail distributor Muchavista Brands. The Elche-based company, which also owns the license for Pantone Footwear, has already begun to market the Autumn Winter 2017-18 collection of the Italian scooter brand.

This is the first time the vehicle manufacturer Piaggio has introduced a footwear collection for Vespa. The debut range will be stocked in specialist stores in Spain.

The line will be also distributed in Italy, the US, Japan, South Korea, Australia, South Africa, Germany, France, Switzerland, the UK, Greece, Portugal, Austria and some Scandinavian countries.

Piaggio announced in November the launch of a footwear brand inspired by the iconic Vespa scooter. Muchavista’s operations as a license holder of Vespa Footwear will remain independent from other Piaggio Spain activities regarding Vespa lifestyle products.

Vespa also sells items such as bomber jackets, jumpers, t-shirts and accessories including backpacks, belts and key chains. All products feature a casual, urban design inspired by the outdoors. The lifestyle collection is available on the brand’s online website, as well as in specialist retailers.

Since its launch in 1964 in Rome, Vespa has sold more than 18 million scooters worldwide. The brand is owned by Piaggio group, which also owns motorcycle brands Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Derbi and Gilera, among others.
