Tory Burch launches on China's JD.com

U.S. luxury brand Tory Burch has inked a distribution deal with JD.com, with the Chinese e-commerce platform announcing the New Yorker's debut on its site on this week.


Opening on March 22, the Tory Burch shop on JD.com celebrated its launch with three styles of the brand’s iconic Kira bag in denim, in addition tothe new spring/summer collections of Tory Burch featuring supermodel Liu Wen - JD.com

The Tory Burch store will also offer Chinese consumers a wide assortment of collections, including ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, and accessories.

“We are thrilled for the launch of our official flagship store on JD.com," said Paolo Zullo, SVP, general manager, Tory Burch China.

"It created a unique opportunity for us to expand our reach to our fans and new customers on JD.com. We look forward to offering the bespoke shopping experience and introducing Tory Burch’s colorful world to everyone."

Tory Burch's JD.com partnership comes three years ago the luxury lifestyle brand inked a distribution deal with China's Tmall, the competitor luxury platform owned by Alibaba Group.

The New York brand currently operates approximately 50 stores in mainland China, in addition to its Tmall and JD.com stores.

​Founded in 2004 in New York City, Tory Burch is an eponymous American luxury brand known for its colourful accessories and vibrant fashion. ​The brand is stocked globally in over 250 Tory Burch boutiques and over 3,000 department and specialty stores, driving an estimated $1 billion in sales.
