That Gorilla Brand adds swimwear to offer
Jun 29, 2020
Street and casualwear brand That Gorilla Brand has announced the launch of a swimwear collection made from recycled ocean plastics.
Available for men, women and children, the range uses Seaqual reclaimed plastic from the ocean and Econyl recycled nylon, providing an eco-friendly alternative to swimsuits made out of petroleum oil-based synthetic materials.
Launching this week, the swimwear collection strengthens the brand’s offering following its launch in the UK in May. The Gorilla Brand was founded in 2018 with a mission to “create something bigger than a fashion brand” and its values are reflected in its commitment to donate €2 for every item sold to The Gorilla Organization.
The donations support the charity’s projects in Uganda, where The Gorilla Organization works to save gorillas from extinction. In addition to donating a part of sales, every season, one piece from That Gorilla Brand’s womenswear, menswear and kidswear collections will be nominated to donate 100% of the profit to the cause.
The SS20 swimwear collection launches on the brand’s website and via Wolf and Badger on Tuesday 30 June with prices starting from £56.99.
