Tabitha Simmons and Equipment unveil capsule collection

British footwear brand Tabitha Simmons has stepped into the ready-to-wear category with a collaboration with French shirting brand Equipment.

Inspired by her British roots and '90s club culture, the collaboration is a 21-piece clothing and footwear collection for the Holiday 2018 season. There are blouses and dresses with English wallpaper prints, tailored jackets and trousers, and silk shirts. Mules, pumps and ankle boots complete the looks.

The brands said the idea for a collaboration came immediately after Sarah Rutson arrived at Equipment as chief brand officer last year, with the former Net-A-Porter buyer seeing a synergy between the two brands.

The launch of Tabitha Simmons’ first ready-to-wear collaboration could signal a change in the business after appointing Norah Atterbury as chief executive officer earlier this year. Whilst Simmons herself will continue to lead the company, Atterbury will work on expanding the business, and explore growth opportunities through more collaborations, category launches and digital developments as the company prepares to celebrate its 10th anniversary next year.

The Tabitha Simmons x Equipment collaboration has launched on Equipment’s website and in stores.
