US sneaker e-tailer StockX has opened its first physical retail concession in the Parisian store of multibrand luxury retailer Modes on avenue Montaigne.

Modes is hosting a curated, authenticated selection of StockX’s most coveted ‘grails’ (items valued at over $750) and top-trending styles, including the Louis Vuitton Nike Air Force 1 Low, Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red October, Jordan 1 Retro Low Dior, Adidas Human Race NMD Pharrell x Chanel, and the Nike Dunk Low Retro Pandas. The items on display will change regularly and will include the most popular products across all of StockX’s categories, from sneakers to apparel and collectibles.

“Paris is a city that is synonymous with fashion, and we couldn't think of a better place to take our next steps in retail. We've been trialling in-person retail experiences through our Drop-Off venues for a long time, but with Modes we have a partner that is perfectly positioned in fashion and culture to help us take things to the next level. We're always looking for new ways to serve our customers, and this partnership will enable us to give them another quick, easy way to purchase some of the world's most coveted items," said Deena Bahri, CMO at StockX.

StockX currently operates four offices worldwide, in Hong Kong, London, New York and Tokyo, where vendors can deliver the items they have sold, initiating the authentication and payment process. StockX was launched in 2016, and sells hundreds of brands in different categories. The company employs some 1,500 people between its offices and 13 authentication centres worldwide.

“Modes boutiques are hubs of creativity and new opportunities, offering cutting-edge projects to an international public in iconic destinations such as avenue Montaigne in Paris,” said Aldo Carpinteri, founder and CEO of Modes.

The company has more than 180 employees, and runs a multi-channel retail network active in Italy, France and Switzerland. Modes has over 20 stores, including women's and men's Modes stores, MiniModes children's stores, and various franchised monobrand stores. The retailer has recently expanded its Milanese store at Piazza Risorgimento 8, which now extends to over 1,000 square metres.
