Sophia Webster is opening its first retail outlet pop-up space with a debut this week at key outlet destination Bicester Village in the UK. The luxury footwear and accessories label will be at the location until May 3 and said that it's also looking at potential sites across the UK for further pop-ups.

The company has seen success with the previous pop-up projects, having opened one (offering full price styles) in New York and also a pop-up in luxury central London space Burlington Arcade. This latter opening came shortly before the label unveiled its own permanent store in upscale Mayfair neighbourhood Mount Street.

The new Bicester Village temporary shop will offer discounts of a minimum of 33% off the recommended retail price.

The company’s CEO Bobby Stockley told Fashionnetwork.com that “as a growing UK brand, Sophia Webster is exploring different channels in the domestic market in order to maximise our potential.

“Following our successful collaboration with the British Fashion Council at Bicester Village in the second half of last year, we feel that Bicester provides a unique opportunity to engage with both international and domestic clients who are not familiar with our bricks and mortar concept. We are excited to be sitting alongside an abundance of brands which we greatly admire”.

The company also told us that it's direct-to-consumer business “is experiencing strong growth” and that the the opportunity to "meet such a diverse audience face-to-face is really valuable for us to learn from. We want our stock cycle to reach as many customers as possible, therefore Bicester Village is a natural alignment for us.”
