Danish lifestyle label Skagen, a specialist in watches, has opened its very first French store at 142 avenue des Champs-Elysées in Paris. It is a prestigious address, which owes nothing to chance, since street number 142 on the world-famous avenue belongs to Denmark House.

The store extends over 70 m² and introduces a new, more product-focused interior design. It showcases Skagen's collections of watches, jewellery and also its leather goods line, launched a year ago and already accounting for between 20% and 25% of sales. At the back of the store there is a creative workshop, allowing customers to personalise their purchases (e.g. engrave an inscription on a watch).

Next September the Danish label will launch its connected watch model, Skagen Connected. Its design is pure Scandinavian style, and it is priced at €199. Among its functionalities, message and email-reception notifications and the possibility to track the wearer's physical activity.

Skagen Denmark was acquired in 2012 by the Fossil group. Nearly 65% of its sales are generated in Europe, where the brand operates eight stores (in Germany, the UK and Denmark), while one is active in New York.

Skagen is present in 80 countries, and it is also sold in department stores, and watch and jewellery stores.
