Puma says to buy out minorities in Dobotex

May 20 - German sportswear company Puma on Friday said it would acquire minority shares in its Dutch licensee Dobotex which develops, produces and distributes Puma socks and bodywear.

Puma, which is controlled by the French retail and luxury group PPR, currently holds 50.1 of Dobotex and said it would acquire the remaining stake on Jan.1 2012. Financial details were not disclosed.

Puma said the offer was friendly and had full support of Dobotex management.
