As reported by the company itself, the new locations and the expansion represent an investment of 80 million euros and the remaining 20 million euros will be used for the improvement and renovation of other existing stores.

The upcoming openings will take place over the next twelve months in Lanzarote, Melilla and Toledo, where Primark is not currently present, as well as in Jaén and Lorca in Murcia. In addition, three new stores are due to open in Madrid, bringing its total number of locations in the Spanish capital to eleven.

Primark first arrived in Spain 16 years ago, in May 2006, in the Plenilunio shopping center in Madrid, and now has 56 stores throughout the country. The new stores are expected to create 10,000 jobs in Primark's second largest market.

Primark currently has over 400 stores across 14 countries in Europe and the United States, employing more than 70,000 people, and aims to reach 530 stores by 2026. The company recently announced investments of 140 million pounds (162 million euros) in the United Kingdom and another 100 million euros in France.
