Porsche Design: Christian Kurtzke new CEO

A change in management at the head of Porsche Design. The German luxury brand has announced the appointment of Christian Kurtzke to the position of CEO in a press release. He will also serve as chairman of the board and succeeds Jürgen Gessler.

The new CEO of Porsche Design (45 years old) is the former manager of the Boston Consulting Group. Since 2008 he had been running Staatliche Porzellan-Manfaktur Meissen, the historic German porcelain manufacturer, which he accompanied in its diversification in the luxury segment.
 
Christian Kurtzke will be in charge of "developing Porsche Design's positioning as a luxury brand," said the president of the group, Bernhard Maier.

Pending his official arrival at the company, for which the date has not yet been set, the Porsche Design Group is being jointly managed by CFO Frank Angelkötter and Design Director Roland Heiler.
