The Puig group has appointed its third creative director at fashion brand Paco Rabanne since its revival in 2011. Julien Dossena will head up control of womenswear at the brand, a role previously held by Manish Arora and Lydia Maurer, both of whom stayed with the brand for just two seasons. The young French designer comes to the label after a four-year stint as senior designer at Balenciaga under the creative direction of Nicola Ghesquière.

Graduated from La Cambre in Brussels, Dossena won the 1.2.3 prize at the International Festival of Fashion and Photography in Hyères in 2006.

He began at Paco Rabanne in early 2013 and has been assisting Lydia Maurer for the autumn-winter 2013/2014 collection, which will be presented at New York Fashion Week on September 26. Puig hopes that the Young designer will help to anchor the brand amongst the most avantgarde and desirable in the market, according to their press release.
