Fashion designer Oliver Spencer presented his Spring/Summer 2017 collection at London Collections Men on Friday.

The menswear show was an ode to modern Italian architecture, drawing inspiration from a landmark house on the Island of Capri known for its clean modernist lines. Red, grey and navy undertones were combined with vibrant honey, cream and ecru to give the collection a directional feel.

Key pieces included a linear patterned Portobello jacket in navy and Pompeii red, a new style Tom’s Jacket with long-line lapel detail and a checkered merino cardigan.

Minimalist influences could also be seen through excellent tailoring and paired back styling.

The sophisticated silhouettes were cut in silk, cotton, linen, merino and nylon, following the brand’s mission of producing modern fits with only the finest fabrics and yarns from artisanal British and Italian mills.

Since the launch of the namesake brand in 2002, Oliver Spencer has grown into a successful business with four standalone stores and an international e-commerce platform. The label, which offers menswear, footwear, loungewear and accessories, is also being stocked in many of the world's leading department stores, from Selfridges to Liberty of London to Mr Porter.
