What role will Sandrine Conseiller play at Lacoste? The brand with the crocodile, headed since January by Thierry Guibert, has announced the appointment of Unilever's formal global vice president of personal care as the company's new marketing and branding director. A position that had been vacant since the March departure of Berta de Pablos-Barbier, who joined the Mars group in New York.

Sandrine Conseiller - Lacoste

Sandrine Conseiller has spent her entire career, since 1996, as part of the giant Anglo-Dutch group's marketing department. Her speciality: personal care and hair care, products such as soap, toothpaste and shampoo.

The executive evolved from brand manager to marketing director for these categories first in France. "Missions that allowed her to develop strategic plans and put them in place on a national level," said Lacoste in a presentation of its new recruit.

Sandrine Conseiller then continued her career with the group in Singapore, as director at the regional office where she successfully relaunched several Unilever hair care brands on the particularly competitive Asian markets.

Since September 2011, she has held the position of global vice president of the personal care division, generating 1 billion euros in revenue in more than 69 countries.

A know-how that the director will have to apply to the world of Lacoste and its diversity of products. Her role will indeed be to "define, formalise and apply the (brand's) strategic vision."
