LK Bennett is continuing to bounce back from the stresses of the last few years and is still growing its UK store portfolio with a brand-new location opening in upscale London neighbourhood Hampstead on April 14, in time for the Easter weekend.

Situated on Hampstead High Street, it comes with what the company calls “fresh and contemporary comfort”. That means wooden flooring, gold accents and jewel-coloured velvets. It has a minimalist feel, we’re told, that “allows the product to sing”.

The company’s new store is carrying the SS22 collection, as well as the new eventwear capsule for Royal Ascot, in its second year as the official licensee for womenswear for the upscale race meeting.

The opening comes at a busy time for the brand that has also just opened its new London flagship on London’s New Bond Street, which also houses its HQ. Additionally, it has opened a pop-up concession in the Galeries Lafayette Paris flagship for its ready-to-wear, which is open until May 30.

CEO Darren Topp said the new Hampstead store “Will incorporate a fantastic edit of the collections. Post-pandemic, we believe in the rejuvenation of bricks and mortar stores, alongside the growing digital business, and we continue to look for retail opportunities not just in the UK, but around the world”.

The company’s store portfolio in the UK and Ireland currently consists of 13 standalone locations and 32 concessions with department store partners such as Selfridges, Fenwick and John Lewis, in addition to its European and digital business.
