Barcelona-based designer, Archie M. Alled-Martinez, will present a gender-neutral capsule collection in June, dubbed Karl Lagerfeld x Alled-Martinez. According to a statement released on Friday, he aims to reinterpret the Karl Lagerfeld universe through a queer lens.

Composed of gender-neutral designs that celebrate the brand's Parisian-chic aesthetic and reimagines the German designer's vision through a "queer perspective", the capsule includes ready-to-wear styles and a selection of accessories, as detailed by the French brand.

Alled-Martinez, founder and creative director of his eponymous LVMH Graduate Prize-winning label, has been working closely with Karl Lagerfeld's style advisor, Carine Roitfeld, and design director, Hun Kim.

"Karl is someone that really marked me. This collection is a tribute to him and therefore a tribute to fashion itself. Karl's imagery was so vibrant and sharp and I really wanted to capture the iconic nature of it all. It's an ode to those years when I was growing up and absorbing all this imagery," said the Barcelona-born designer.

The French brand's CEO, Pier Paolo Righi, stated that this is an "exciting collaboration that not only highlights Karl's style and the significant impact he’s had on fashion over the years, but is a uniquely queer celebration of his life."

This genderless collection will offer "a bold look at an important aspect of his aesthetic that Archie shares. We are very excited about the launch of the collection," concluded Righi.
