Jeff Rudes is getting ready to make his comeback. Having left J Brand last year, the Californian premium denim brand that he founded in 2004 and sold in 2012 to the Japanese group Fast Retailing, the designer entrepreneur is about to launch the new label Jeffrey Rüdes.

The luxury men’s ready-to-wear brand will be entirely made in Italy with high quality fabrics.

The project will be launched in early July along with the opening of the first Jeffrey Rüdes store in the heart of New York on Green Street in the SoHo neighborhood. The brand will initially be marketed through the store and on the brand’s website.

While the new label will be headquartered in Los Angeles, the design and product development is to be based in Bologna, in central Italy, within reach of a myriad of artisanal workshops.

Rudes has indeed selected the best luxury suppliers in Italy, from leather to footwear and knitwear specialists.

The style is "quite classic, with a contemporary twist. They are timeless products that cater toward connoisseurs from 25 to 50 years old," said a participant in the project.

The collection focuses on key menswear pieces, featuring only a few pairs of jeans. The idea is to offer new pieces every month that meet the needs of the current season.
