"During his time at New Look, Mike has been a valued member of the executive team and he provided pivotal stewardship to New Look during our preparation for the sale of the company and throughout our acquisition of Brait, as well as strong leadership during our successful refinancing," the company stated.

New Look says it has "a strong team" in place while it looks for a successor to Iddon. In other New Look directorial news, the company has chosen to promote internally for the role of Buying, Merchandising and Design Director.

The role has been vacant since November last year when Carolyn Mackenzie left after ten years, as reported in FashionMag. Now, New Look has promoted Emma Worley to BMD Director. Worley has been with New Look since 2011 and was previously the company's Head of Buying, Merchandising and Design.

Before New Look she worked as Head of Buying for Laura Ashley for over five years.
