Gucci is partnering with Facebook, Global Citizen and Kleiner Perkins to hold ChimeHack 4, the fourth hackathon to create tech-driven solutions for gender equality, at the Facebook headquarters in Menlo Park, California on June 10-11.

Launched in 2013 by Gucci’s Chime For Change global campaign, ChimeHack has convened over 400 hackers, tech experts and non-profit leaders to create innovative solutions for girls and women. The fourth installment will continue the agenda by bringing together technology-sector leaders, rising stars, issue experts and non-profit leaders to design tech solutions to break down the barriers to education for refugee girls.

"We are thrilled to host ChimeHack at Facebook again this year. Facebook is committed to building a safe and supportive community and one way we do this is through our social good tools," said Naomi Gleit, Facebook's Vice President of Social Good. "I look forward to seeing what creative solutions we can hack together."

Gucci, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and Salma Hayek Pinault co-founded Chime For Change in 2013 to unite and strengthen the voices speaking out for girls and women around the world. The campaign has funded over 420 projects in 88 countries through 153 non-profit partners, and in 2015 it announced a long-term partnership with Global Citizen.

"Now more than ever, it is critical that we come together to help eliminate the roadblocks to education, equality, and safety for all girls and women," said Juliet de Baubigny, senior partner at Kleiner Perkins. "With Chime For Change and ChimeHack there's an incredible opportunity to do just that -- led by the passion and skill of developers and engineers who are building technology-driven solutions to empower women across the globe."
