Stockholm-headquartered apparel brand Gant has announced that it will promote Patrik Söderström to the role of CEO, succeeding Brian Grevy.

Grevy was appointed CEO of menswear label Gant in June 2018 but, at the end of October, Adidas announced he would be taking over from Eric Liedtke as the executive board member responsible for global brands.

Söderström joined Gant in 2016 as executive vice president global markets. Between 2008 and 2016, he was the general manager northern Europe for eyewear group Luxottica, which he joined after spending three years in charge of the Scandinavian markets for Reebok.

“I am honoured and proud to be able to fulfil this new role,” said Söderström in a press release. “With great results on a global scale, it is an exciting time for Gant. Over the past year, we have recruited many talented employees and built a strong and powerful team. Now we will focus on the successful journey we are making, continue to improve and clarify our brand and our products, and continue to grow, both in new and in existing markets,” he added.

Söderström will start in his new role at Gant, which is part of the fashion division of Swiss group Maus Frères, on February 1 2020.
