Fashion Season: Liu Wen, her life as a model and impressions of Paris

The second part of CNN’s Fashion Season, available on FashionMag, focuses on Liu Wen. Time flies very quickly for China’s most famous model.

Wen is the first Chinese model to show for Victoria's Secret, the first Asian to front a worldwide Estée Lauder campaign and the first to be listed in Forbes list of the top 5 highest paid models in the world. For Wen, Paris means the backstages, waiting for phone calls, a good deal of stress and perhaps some regrets about not being able to truly explore such a beautiful city.

"When I'm in Paris, I have no idea what my schedule is. Everything is last minute. You do not know exactly what you are doing. You just only know that you have to wake up, the driver takes you backstage; you have make up, hair, and then a shoot. Then the driver takes you to another shoot. Sometimes, you know, you have a really crazy schedule. Once I did 27 shows in London, then I probably did 22-23 in Paris. I don’t know how I did it,” says Liu Wen.

Wen, who would soon like to launch her own blog, offers a few tips about how to remain fresh and relaxed. The top model from Yongzhou has fronted campaigns by Estée Lauder, Marni, Lane Crawford, Diesel, Calvin Klein, Benetton, Esprit, etc.
