Ermenegildo Zegna Couture is launching into the universe... and into Harrods! The Italian luxury menswear label did indeed announce "an exclusive project for Harrods' shop windows". Since 2 October until 19 October, the 2014-15 Fall/Winter Ermenegildo Zegna Couture collection takes over the famous London department store's windows through a spectacular installation, which features an astrological film, also viewable on both the fashion house's and Harrods' websites.
This film, created in collaboration with Ermenegildo Zegna creative director Stefano Pilati and astrophysicist Fiorella Terenzi, served as the background at the runway show this past January, with the collection proposing a "journey from and to the early Universe".
"Two sets of mirrors create a spherical effect to recreate the essence of the scientific trajectory. The frenetic energy inspired by the film is reflected through hazy urban scenes, juxtaposed with models, who are either still or quickly turning, symbolising the frenetic rhythm of metropolitan life," explains the fashion house in a press release.
To celebrate this installation, Ermenegildo Zegna Couture has also launched a collection of accessories exclusively made for Harrods, with in particular the Couture Bag" designed by Stefano Pilati.
