In preparation for its launch in the UK, the Australian online retailer MySale has purchased the British flash sales site Cocosa.

Mohamed Al Fayed, the former owner of the London department store Harrods, acquired Cocsa in 2011, but announced his withdrawal from the business last October. MySale, 25% of which is held by the owner of Arcadia Group (Topshop) Philip Green, will obtain a database of 800,000 UK consumers through the purchase.

Cocosa offers sixty or so flash sales per day, with fashion, beauty and home products offered at a knockdown prices. As for MySale, the online retailer is now considering the possibility of a listing on the London Stock Exchange, according to the Financial Times.
