French cosmetics group Clarins has appointed Nicolas Prieur as general manager of Clarins France, succeeding Henri du Masle. Du Masle is taking over the management of MyBlend, Clarins' recently relaunched personalized skincare brand.

Prieur joined Clarins in 2008 as an area export manager based in Geneva. From 2010 onwards he held various marketing and sales management roles and managed several regions around the world. Returning to Switzerland in 2018, he first held the position of general manager export Europe, and was appointed general manager of Clarins' Swiss subsidiary a year later. Before joining the Clarins group, Prieur worked at Bourjois, mainly as export manager for several regions.

Clarins is present in over 150 countries with the Clarins and MyBlend brands. For several years the beauty group has been focused on the skincare segment. After selling its Mugler and Azzaro perfume brands to the L'Oréal group in 2019, it invested in the British beauty brand Pai Skincare in 2021, and more recently in American clean beauty make-up brand, Ilia. Both investments were made via Famille C, the family holding company of the Courtin-Clarins family, owners of the Clarins group, which has a turnover of around 1.5 billion euros.
