British fashion and homeware retailer Cath Kidston has announced that it will open its biggest ever store later this year in London, tying in with the brand’s 20th anniversary.

Measuring 657 square metres and optimally located next to premium retailer Fortnum & Mason, the flagship store will offer the brand’s typical selection of goods over three floors, as well products exclusively designed for the flagship.

Cath Kidston chief executive Kenny Wilson said: “The launch of our London flagship is an exciting step in our strategy for growth in the UK and internationally.” He continued: “London is the right location for our flagship, as it is where our brand originates from and it is a key global city both for UK and international customers.”

The London flagship will mark the 60th Cath Kidston store in the UK. The brand also counts 63 international concessions across Spain, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and, most recently, China.

It announced group sales for the 12 months ending 1 April 2012 of £89 million, a 30% increase on the previous year. Worldwide network sales rose 37% to £104 million for the same period.
