Stefan Mues, chief digital officer of Swiss group Calida, owner of Aubade, Lafuma Mobilier and Calida, is leaving the company to take on new professional challenges, FashionNetwork.com has learnt on Wednesday. His successor has not yet been announced.

“In recent years, Stefan Mues has successfully overseen the e-commerce segment of our business. By stepping up in targeted fashion the pace of the group's digitalisation, he has made a valuable contribution to Calida's long-term expansion,” said Timo Schmidt-Eisenhart, the group's CEO.

Mues had been a member of the Calida group's board of directors since January 2019. In April 2018, he was appointed managing director of Reich Online Service GmbH, a subsidiary of the Calida group specialising in e-commerce.

Currently, the group's e-commerce business is doing rather well. In H1 2021, the group recorded a 46.3% growth in online sales. In the period, its total revenue grew 30.2% over the previous year to reach CHF153.91 million (approximately €142.71 million), exceeding the group’s pre-pandemic levels.

Among the group’s brands, Calida recorded a 23.8% sales increase to reach CHF68 million (approximately €63 million), Lafuma Mobilier generated a revenue of CHF45.3 million (equivalent to a 29.4% rise) and Aubade generated a revenue of CHF32.5 million, up 35.6%.

The group is keen to focus on its main categories, underwear and lingerie, as well as on Lafuma Mobilier, its furniture division, and to sell the Millet Mountain group, having already divested itself of the Eider and Oxbow brands.
