Brunello Cucinelli is increasing its online footprint via a new website. As part of the company’s “digital project” launched in 2015, the Italian cashmere luxury brand has improved its online platform in an effort to strengthen its online strategy. The new website marks a fundamental step in this grand project, according to the firm, in a news statement.

Previously managed by Yoox, the Italian brand chose to bring its e-commerce operations back in house in order to rethink the entire site, including its e-commerce and corporate components.

The website’s aim is to communicate the company’s main values and ideas. To share the company’s quality, manual skills, attachment to the local community, but also its humanistic capitalism and its economic dignity of work. Who better, but the founder and president of the group, Brunello Cucinelli himself, to embody these values. And so, an important part of the website is dedicated to the “philosopher entrepreneur”, as referred to by the press, because of his values and his actions, as well as the way he links luxury and capitalism.

Consumers can find a number of pictures of him in black and white, which helps paint an image of an invested entrepreneur.

Cucinelli is also known for his commitment to heritage. He completely restored the town of Solomeo, located in the region of Umbria in the centre of Italy, where his headquarters are located.

He also recently announced plans to restore the ‘Torre Civica’ in Norcia, Italy. The tower was built in 1700 and was destroyed in an earthquake last October.
