A new era is starting at Audemars Piguet. From November 11, the Swiss watch brand’s board of directors will be chaired by Alessandro Bogliolo. Bogliolo, the former CEO of US jewellery brand Tiffany, succeeds Jasmine Audemars, great-granddaughter of the founder of the eponymous brand, who wishes to step down from her duties as board president.

“These past 30 years at the helm of Audemars Piguet have been a unique and enriching experience, thanks to the enthusiasm and professionalism of all the staff who have successfully contributed to building the brand’s current success. I look forward to keeping in touch, even if it’s from slightly more afar, since I will remain Chairwoman of the AP Foundation. We still have many great things to accomplish,” said Jasmine Audemars. Bogliolo, 57, was appointed to Audermars Piguet's board on August 15, said the Swiss watch manufacturer.

From 2017 to January 2021, Bogliolo was the CEO and executive board member of New York-based jewellery brand Tiffany & Co. He left the company when Tiffany’s acquisition by French luxury giant LVMH was finalised.

Bogliolo was formerly the CEO of Italian jeans brand Diesel, and has held many senior management positions at Bulgari over the course of 16 years, in Singapore, Italy and the USA.

In June, Audemars Piguet also announced that François-Henry Bennahmias will be leaving the post of managing director at the end of 2023.
