Founded in San Francisco by two beauty experts, Annie Jackson, former executive marketing director at Estee Lauder and responsible for the launch of Sephora in the United States and Japan, and Shashi Batra, who passed away in 2017, clean beauty brand Credo Beauty has just added its second address in Los Angeles, in the Larchmont Village neighborhood, and the 12th in the United States.

"Larchmont Village is such a charming street with beautiful independent boutiques and great restaurants," said Annie Jackson, co-founder and COO of Credo Beauty.

"It made so much sense to open Credo there. We've been looking for this street for some time and are extremely excited to unveil a brand new store concept, with a new interior design for the Larchmont customers at Credo."

Clean beauty has been riding a fast-growing market wave since 2014, with the global clean beauty market valued at US$7.22 billion in 2022, which is expected to double to US$14.36 billion by 2028.

"People are focusing, more than ever, on their health and are looking for brands that have a strong sense of social responsibility," Jackson adds. "Customers want brands to be aligned with their values and to help make the world cleaner, healthier, more resilient and more equitable. Today's consumers want to vote with their dollars, and that's what Credo is here to empower and facilitate."

"We plan to continue to grow in neighborhoods like Larchmont, really emphasizing the customer experience that is unique to each neighborhood we open," Jackson explained.

A strategy that has recently seen a series of new services such as Clean Beauty Discovery & Consultation, Facial and Skincare Consultations and treatments, Clean Makeup Exploration and Application, Brow Waxing and Grooming and Lip Waking.

Last October, Credo Beauty also announced that it had acquired Follain, the Boston-based retail brand that, along with Credo, was a leader in the clean beauty industry. As part of the acquisition, Credo absorbed Follain's online retail business and storefront in Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood. A year ago, the brand also poached Stuart Millar, who helped build Aesop in the United States, as its new CEO.
