Watchmaker MeisterSinger is presenting a new version of its Lunascope, featuring a gold-colored representation of the moon for the first time, contrasting with the sapphire blue watch face and making the moon phase more luminous than ever.

Lunascope - MeisterSinger

MeisterSinger's Lunascope, which debuted in 2018, has already seduced watchmaking pros and connoisseurs alike, going on to win awards such as the prestigious Red Dot Design Award.

The timepiece is back for the fall in a new version that once again puts the spotlight on the moon phase, a complication that allows it to precisely show the lunar cycle.

This new version outfits the moon in a golden hue that makes it even more luminous, especially against the bright sapphire blue face and the moon phase display's oversized cut-out.

The watch, which displays the hour, minute, date and moon phase and has a 38-hour power reserve encases a mechanical movement with Swiss self-winding in a 40 mm-diameter stainless steel case with a window on the reverse side.

The presence of an exclusive module offers ultra precision for the lunar cycle and means that the discrepancy between the mechanism and actual moon cycle only needs a minor correction every 128 years compared to many moon watches that require such a correction every three years.

As with all MeisterSinger watches, the Lunascope Golden Moon tells time with a single hand. The new version is sold with a cognac-colored veal skin band.
