“The addition of Fjord to our team aligns with our core strategic initiative – to grow and strengthen the value we provide to the sports, team and licensing apparel market,” said Steve Cochran, Tegra’s CEO in a statement.

Fjord's customers include Nike, Columbia Sportswear and Patagonia. It is a 40-year-old company known for making performance gear.

Atlanta, GA-based Tegra manufactures and supplies sports apparel to global brands which outfit professional and elite amateur athletes. In addition to performance apparel, Tegra also makes fan gear, providing branded product to the lifestyle market surrounding sports. Tegra operates factories in Central America and the US.

The acquisition gives Tegra strategic growth opportunities to outfit professional, college and elite high school sports teams. Product offerings will expand to both athletes and fans in North America.
