Gherardo Felloni has worked as a footwear designer for luxury majors including Fendi, Helmut Lang, before joining Miu Miu in 2003. The brand promoted Felloni quickly, appointing him head of leather accessories and shoes. The designer then moved to Dior in Paris, where he piloted Dior's shoe collections from 2009 to 2014, before returning to Miu Miu.

Felloni came to Roger Vivier, the luxury footwear label owned by Tod's, some weeks ago.

"Roger Vivier is the absolute reference of luxury footwear. I have always been fascinated by him, his mastery and modernity, his ultimate chic and endless creativity. I feel honoured to be part of Roger Vivier today and to develop it even more, by respecting its heritage and tradition while adding a contemporary and modern touch, what Monsieur Vivier has always demonstrated," said Gherardo Felloni, in a short statement published by the brand.

The footwear brand, which has been growing for some years now, recored revenues of 179.3 million euros in 2017, an increase of 7.8% compared to the prior year.
