Luxury French companies are booming but suffer from a shortage of international executives. The situation has prompted the French Institute of Fashion to launch a one-year program in English to ready managers for an international career.

The Master of Science in International Luxury Management (MSc Luxury) is primarily geared toward foreign students who feel the need to improve their knowledge of the French luxury business.

The degree program focuses on the management of luxury, both in branding and communication as well as managing retail networks and knowledge of retail issues. The degree also promotes an in-depth understanding of design, both the creative process and quality concerns, a knowledge of French cultural differences and the role of Paris as the capital of design. The program track on French cultural awareness includes learning a sufficient level of French to facilitate communication and an understanding of what the school calls “cultural subtleties.”

This program is actively sponsored by luxury sector companies such as Hermès, Chanel, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton L'Oréal. They will help recruit candidates, take part in course instruction and offer internships in the final phase of the program.
