Harvey Nichols in exclusive UK Marc Jacobs Beauty deal

Harvey Nichols has scored another coup with the luxury retailer set to partner exclusively with Marc Jacobs Beauty from October in an alliance which will see the brand available in all eight UK and Ireland stores, and at harveynichols.com.

The launch comes hot on the heels of the store also unveiling the latest Calvin Klein fragrance ahead of many of its peers.

The five-year-old Marc Jacobs Beauty operation, which is a collaboration between Jacobs and LVMH’s Kendo, has continued to build its business even while the Marc Jacobs fashion arm has seen tougher times. It has become known for its intense pigments and high-profile marketing campaigns.

All Marc Jacobs beauty categories are part of the deal. That means face, eye, lip, nail and brushes, including best-selling (and award-winning) Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara, Highliner Gel Eye Crayon, Enamored Hi-shine Lip Lacquer and Le Marc Lip Crème. They’ll be available in the eight locations from October 11.

But there will be some specials too with Leopard Frost, a globally exclusive, limited edition collection, available only at the stores and on the Harvey Nichols website until December. More details of that will be released closer to launch this autumn.

And the retailer will also host the UK launch of Shameless, a new complexion collection of “youthful-look” 24-hour longwear foundation with SPF25. It’s a medium “buildable foundation with first-to-market flashback-free SPF.”

Jennifer Lucchese, VP and general manager of the brand said it’s very popular in the UK and “it is our ongoing goal to serve these clients, continuing to work with the best partners in beauty retail, and to introduce new beauty customers to our brand.”

She added that Harvey Nichols’ “commitment to service, fashion, trend, and quality makes them the ideal partner.”
