Estée Lauder has ascertained that the Brazilian market is currently dominated by sales of beauty products in mainstream networks, which according to the American company, leaves a lot of room to grow for premium products.

With regards to the company's position in Brazil, William Lauder stated, “we are well established in Brazil. I’ve made various trips to the country, we compete with important Brazilian brands and we think that in the long term this is a market where we’re going to expand considerably.”

In its annual report covering business during 2016, the Estée Lauder Group said that its results in the Brazilian market were affected by the country’s economic crisis and the devaluation of the Brazilian real.
