The Swiss watchmaker has presented a short film entitled "Reverso by Christian Louboutin," showcasing its collaboration with the famous shoe designer as part of 85th-anniversary celebrations for the iconic "Reverso" watch. Starring the actress and model Elisa Sednaoui, the film can be viewed via the Jaeger-LeCoultre website.

After unveiling the fruit of its collaboration with Christian Louboutin, watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre has posted a short movie to accompany the launch, as part of events celebrating 85 years of the Reverso. Created in the early 1930s, the watch soon became legendary thanks to its reversible case with dials on the front and back.

Jaeger-LeCoultre has enlisted Elisa Sednaoui as the star of its film. She can be seen playing a young, independent and impatient woman, matching her watch to her various outfits and activities. At the end of the film, she is joined by Christian Louboutin himself, who shows her how to turn around the famous case of the "Reverso Scarababe" to reveal its second dial.

"The short movie is a reflection on the mind's ability to affect the passage of time. With impatience, time slows down and every tick of the watch seems to last an eternity; our heroine is waiting for the day to finish, the cake to bake, the courier to arrive... And finally, when the friend arrives, time, like a beating heart, accelerates wildly with the joy of seeing a loved one, " explains Olga de Grèce, who directed the film.

The "Reverso Classic Duetto," designed by Christian Louboutin, plays with reflections and transparency in an Art Deco-inspired watch that's available in two sizes. While the front face maintains the Reverso's classic, emblematic traits, the back reveals a dial set between two rows of diamonds. This model also features the iridescent shades dear to the designer.

"I understood that the Reverso's iconic Art Deco lines and very specific format could be customized and changed, but never improved. The exciting part is not about enhancing the Reverso, but instead offering a different perception of it," said Christian Louboutin.

Reverso models designed in collaboration with Christian Louboutin will be available for one year as part of the Atelier Reverso concept in Jaeger-LeCoultre boutiques.
