Diesel collaborates with 686 to offer a snowboard collection

Diesel is hitting the slopes. This winter, via its younger brand 55DSL, the Italian jean maker is tackling the mountains on a snowboard, giving us a capsule of him and her outfits created in collaboration with 686, the snowboarding technical apparel brand founded 22 years ago. This American brand offers an original character blending the California style of Los Angeles with the world of American ski resorts.

As a result, the pieces in this first snowboard collaboration are also clearly unconventional, with metal and punk elements all while retaining the necessary technical specificities.

"Almost three years ago I was already in discussions with 55DSL about a way in which to integrate technical outerwear pieces into the fashion world, and about a possible collaboration," explains Mike West, CEO of 686.

The man wears an outfit with elements of jeans and leather. The baggy trousers bring to mind the skateboarder style (285 euros), while the jacket has an American flag emblazoned across the back (360 euros). The women wears what looks like a pair of worn out jeans, mottled with paint stains. The jacket is a mix of camouflage on the arms and leopard print on the body.

The collection can be found on both of the brands' retail websites and in Diesel stores.
