Charming Charlie opens in Mall of Qatar

Charming Charlie continues to expand in the Middle East with a second Qatar store opening, inside the newly unveiled Mall of Qatar.

The Qatar store is being operated by Apparel Group, Charming Charlie’s international licensing partner, and the firm behind the jeweller's debut in the Ezdan Mall last year The latest location has also been built to the brand’s new retail concept. Features include double doors in pink and a home-style interior that hosts mid-century aesthetics with luxurious materials.

The new Charming Charlie store in Mall of Qatar offers a full range of products including fashion jewellery, handbags, apparel, small leather goods, scarves, watches, sunglasses, a special occasion collection and more, according to a press statement.

The store was officially opened by company founder Charlie Chanaratsopon, and Dana Shell Smith, the U.S. ambassador to Qatar.

"Mall of Qatar is the biggest Mall here yet and among the most prominent, and it is always in our best interest to expand our reach, and to offer our services to a wider range of clients," the CEO told The Peninsula newspaper.

"Doha is an essential market for our expanding footprint in the Middle East. It’s exciting to bring Charming Charlie’s colourful palette of accessories and playful shopping experience to more women throughout Qatar."

In 2016, Charming Charlie said it plans to open between 50 and 75 stores in the Middle in the next five years. Launched in 2004, the retailer is known for merchandising products by colour and for its price affordability.

Distributor Apparel Group represents 55 international brands and has more than 1,000 stores spread across four continents.
